CHILD PROTECTION AWARENESS COURSE
(LEVEL 1)
Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018) places a duty on all employers to ensure that their staff are confident and competent in carrying out their responsibilities for safeguarding and promoting children’s and young people’s welfare.
This in-depth course arms staff with the tools to identify and recognise child abuse and what action to take. It will also teach knowledge and recognition of signs and possible indicators of abuse; how to refer to your designated person. There is now a requirement for all staff working with Children & Young People to undertake this training every 3 years.
CHILD PROTECTION ADVANCED COURSE
(LEVEL 2)
Everyone shares responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, irrespective of their individual roles.
This course is for those who have already completed a Level 1 course and are required to have an advanced knowledge of Child Protection, including working towards becoming a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), manager or policy writer.
CHILD PROTECTION TRAINING
CHILD PROTECTION DESIGNATED LEAD COURSE
(LEVEL 3)
This course is crucial for anyone who takes on the responsibility of Designated Safeguarding Lead for children and young people. The CPD certified course will allow you and your team to coordinate the response to safeguarding concerns within your organisation, and support others in doing so.
CHILD PROTECTION DESIGNATED LEAD
UPDATE COURSE
The Designated Safeguarding Lead should attend updated child protection training every two years.
This course is for those who have previously attended the initial Designated Safeguarding Lead training course and need to update their knowledge, competence and confidence.
This course will update you with new and current information in Safeguarding Children and your responsibility as Designated Lead, It will take a deeper look at the most current child protection issues and provide relevant information on reporting strategies, policies and procedures.
