SAFEGUARDING AND CHILD PROTECTION AWARENESS TRAINING
CHILD PROTECTION AWARENESS COURSE (LEVEL 1)
This informative and wide-ranging course will give you the skills to act appropriately and confidently in protecting children at your paid or voluntary setting.
Our introductory level 1 awareness training course will give you and your colleagues a clear understanding of how to recognise, report and record concerns about a child’s welfare.
WHO IS IT FOR?
This course is for those who work with children in a multitude of settings including schools, youth programmes, family support centres, community groups and more. Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018) places a duty on all employers to ensure that their staff are confident and competent in fulfilling their responsibilities to safeguard and promote children’s and young people’s welfare. This course will enable staff to identify and recognise abuse and what action to take. It will also teach knowledge and recognition of signs and indicators of abuse; how to refer to your designated person. There is now a requirement for all staff working with Children & Young People must undertake this training every 3 years.
